The provincial government of British Columbia is funding
eReferrals as part of the priority to reduce physician workload and improve patient care.
There is no charge to you for using eReferrals.
Funding covers licensing for Ocean, which is the platform that supports
eReferrals. You and your care team will have free access to both clinical referral tools and patient communication tools, such as messaging and reminders. Funding is also available to support implementation and learning.
Already using Ocean? Your monthly licensing fees for eReferrals will be covered once you're registered in the program.
If you’re a member of Doctors of BC (DoBC), you and your support staff are eligible for compensation to cover the time it takes to implement
eReferrals and learn how to use the system. Allow between two to seven hours for each participant.
You’re also eligible for funding to participate in strategic working groups or attend our Tech Tuesday webinars.
If you’re a nurse practitioner working in primary care, you may be eligible for compensation as part of your quality improvement projects or education. For more information, refer to:
