The provincial government of British Columbia is funding eReferrals as part of the priority to reduce physician workload and improve patient care. There is no charge to you for using eReferrals

Funding covers licensing for Ocean, which is the platform that supports eReferrals. You and your care team will have free access to both clinical referral tools and patient communication tools, such as messaging and reminders. Funding is also available to support implementation and learning.

Already using Ocean?  Your monthly licensing fees for eReferrals will be covered once you're registered in the program.

Doctors of BC members

If you’re a member of Doctors of BC (DoBC), you and your support staff  are eligible for compensation to cover the time it takes to implement eReferrals and learn how to use the system.  Allow between two to seven hours for each participant.

You’re also eligible for funding to participate in strategic working groups or attend our Tech Tuesday webinars.
